Last night I almost sexted a guy, but before I sent it I went on Instagram only to find out that he was at a funeral. Here are some tips on sexting to make sure you avoid situations like this.

Make sure he’s not in relationship
Not because it makes you a bad person if he is in one, but more that it’s just less likely that he’ll respond. And if he does respond whilst in a relationship with open arms that says a lot more about him than you.
Make sure he’s not at a funeral
This is the weirdest thing to keep tabs on, but TRY. I don’t know how but just find out. I’m still in recovery from it almost happening to me last night and it sounds like such a regrettable combination of things happening at once.
Don’t be wasted
Firstly: you can never be sure something is what you actually want when you’re wasted. Secondly: you can’t text coherently. Thirdly: wasted sex sucks.
Don’t be shy
Tell them what you want, whatever that is, whoever that is, and be as explicit as you like. It works (almost) every time.
Don’t sext ex-boyfriends
If the relationship is done IT’S DONE. You can’t have casual sex with someone who you have been more than casual with recently. To succeed in a “no strings attached” relationship, you must have never had any attachment to this person previously.
Don’t send pics
Or do it’s up to you. But you know what the dangers are.
Only try once
Not only do you get further and further from sleeping with this person, but you also feel shit about yourself which is annoying because you’re probably a lot cooler than how you feel. I’m recovering from this, you can teach yourself.
