Being in this Pride season, this app is more than fitting for this months celebrations. Designer Carri Munden (aka Cassette Playa) was happy to chat to us about her new app #FirstSnog. This is a collaboration with SNOG Frozen Yogurt to celebrate 25 years of Stonewell. You upload pictures of your best kissing face and Carri’s graphics are added to it.
How did the collaboration come about with this new app?
Snog approached me (through Mandi Lennard and John Doe Agency) to work with them on a digital project to celebrate 25th years of Stonewall. Snog is such a cute and colourful brand and I immediately connected with their energy
What’s it like working with such an awesome LGBT charity?
I have always respected Stonewalls hard approach, their campaigns are always intelligent, hard hitting and well designed.
What do you hope people get from the app?
I want people to play with their identity, get creative and cute to share an important and powerful message = everyone should be free to snog who they like.
What celebs have been involved with so far?
We have had a great response so far. Celebrity fans include Russell Brand, Harry Styles, Rita Ora, Naomi Campbell, Florence Welch, Douglas Booth, Eliza Doolittle, 3D from Massive Attack, Bobby Gillespie, Boy George, Jack Whitehall, Noel Fielding, Paloma Faith, Rhys Ifans, Katy B, Nick Grimshaw, Calvin Klein, Karen Elson and many more.
