At Galore, we can never get enough Barbie. I mean, we wanted to be her when we were six and we want to be her still… obviously. Last night at the Wildfox Flagship Store, our prayers were answered with the launch of their Resort 2014 collection. The collection is centered around our favorite plaything, with pieces ranging from slouchy sweatshirts declaring “I Love Ken” or bright pink swim separates.
Creative director, Kimberly Gordon, explains that Barbie “is all about acting out stories, which is what we do at Wildfox through our models in each campaign. I was thrilled at the opportunity to create a collection with Barbie…visiting the Mattel design center was really exciting.”
We’re thrilled too, and so were the starlets at the launch last night in L.A., including Kendall Jenner and Scott Disick. The event was complete with pink colored cocktails and a bedazzled ice cream truck passing out Wildfox sunglasses, pink popsicles, and Barbie herself.
