What made you want to start your website Just Jared?
I didn’t grow up listening to the radio or watching television and movies, so my consumption of pop culture didn’t start until college. Once I got a taste of it, I OD’d. Entertainment and fashion became huge passions of mine and ten years ago, I launched JustJared.com!
What is your fascination with Hollywood?
People behind the camera actually fascinate me more than people in front. It amazes me how it really takes a village to create one star!
Favorite actress of all time?
Cate Blanchett and Jessica Chastain have definitely given some of the best performances I’ve ever seen. They both have so much range!
What movie can’t you wait to see this year?
Pitch Perfect 2. I saw the first one three times before the actual movie came out in theaters. I was obsessed!
You always play nice with the celebs unlike some websites. What are your thoughts on tabloid style sites?
I’ve always treated people with love and respect, so my blog doesn’t stray from that ideal. I believe in karma, so whatever I’m putting out in the world will come right back to me. Plus, I can sleep easily at night!
What are your favorite hangout spots in L.A.?
The Blockheads Shavery in West L.A. and the iPic movie theater in Westwood, which has reclining seats, pillows and blankets! The Chateau Marmont is also an L.A. staple.
Who would you say is the star to watch out for in 2015?
I’m really excited for Britt Robertson, who is the lead of then next Nicholas Sparks film as well as the big Disney film Tomorrowland. Big year for her! What songs are currently on repeat in your playlist Nicki Minaj’s entire Pinkprint album. Obsessed with “Trini Dem Girls” and “Get On Your Knees.” And whatever Rihanna puts out next will be a hit. Slay queen!
