Nearly four years after her death, the brilliant, but drug-addled Amy Winehouse is being remembered with Amy, a two-hour documentary curtesy of BAFTA-winning director Asif Kapaida (best known for his 2010 biopic on the late, great Brazilian racing champion Ayrton Senna).

Coming out in British cinemas on July 3, Amy traces the path of the singer’s artistic and personal journey, and if the trailer is any indication of the film’s tone, it’s going to be a haunting two hours.

In the minute and a half teaser trailer for the film, in a chilling taste of foreshadowing, when asked about if she thinks she’ll ever be famous, Amy replies, “I don’t think I could handle it, I would probably go mad.”

Watch the trailer below, but don’t say that we didn’t warn you.
