On Friday the Supreme Court ruled that the Constitution guarantees the right to same-sex marriage the New York Times reports. It was a 5-4 decision. Justices Sotomayor, Ginsburg (also known as the Notorious RBG), Kagan, Breyer, and majority opinion author Kennedy ruled in favor of a constitutional right to same sex marriage.
The timing couldn’t be better, the ruling comes on the eve of NYC’s annual Pride celebrations and during international Pride Month. In honor of this momentous occasion, here are seven lesbian and queer couples we’re dying to see get gay married now that it’s their federal right!

Samira Wiley and Girlfriend, OITNB writer Lauren Morelli
1. Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli
The greatest love story of all time deserves the greatest ending. When Lauren Morelli started writing for Netflix’s hit series, Orange is the New Black, she began to realize she was gay. According to Morelli, “…while it certainly would have been disorienting to begin to question my sexuality after three decades of knowing myself, it was particularly blinding because I’d gotten married only a few months before. It was the sort of wedding that makes you believe in absolute partnership and the strength that can come from facing obstacles, like the life-threatening illness that my new husband had battled for the majority of our relationship.” Damn…that’s….unfortunate. But then again, who wouldn’t fall in love with Samira Wiley if they got the chance to witness her beauty in person on a regular basis? The OITNB star, now famous for her role as Poussey, is undoubtedly jaw droppingly beautiful. Now that Morelli has figured out that she is on team P, we can’t wait to see her get..er.. remarried. To the love of her life. And ours….
2. Kristen Stewart and Alicia Cargile
The jury is still out as to whether KStew and Alicia are actually a couple. First British tabloid Sunday Mirror reported that Kristen’s mother, Jules Stewart had outed her. Then, after the interview was published Jules Stewart apparently backpedaled and denied that she had discussed Kristen with the interviewer. Either way, if Stewart and Cargile ARE a couple we’d really enjoy watching the two of them walk down the aisle eventually. Maybe they can wear matching outfits for that too?
3. Cara Delevigne and St. Vincent
Despite the fact that her recent Vogue profile has a lot of queer people up in arms, we’d love to see Cara and St. Vincent walk down the aisle. That way she could prove that being queer–whether lesbian, bi, or refusing to be put into a box–isn’t a “phase” for damaged girls who don’t trust men, as the Vogue writer who interviewed Delevigne may have alluded to.

Top Chef Winner, Kristen Kish and her girlfriend Jaqueline Westbrook
4. Kristen Kish and Jaqueline Westbrook
Top Chef winner Kristen Kish showed us all how to use a knife during Season 10. On August 1, 2014 Kish revealed on her instagram that she’d been dating long time girlfriend Jaqueline Westbrook to all her new fans. Recently Kish and Westbrook attended the LGBT Pride month reception at the White House celebrating with the likes of the President. Now that the supreme court is on their #squad, we are really gunning for Kish and Westbrook to get married, if only to see what delicious food ends up on their menu.

Jenna Lyons, HBIC at J.Crew and girlfriend Courtney Crangi
5. Jenna Lyons and Courtney Crangi
Fashionista and Head Bitch In Charge of J.Crew, Jenna Lyons and her girlfriend Courtney Crangi make one hell of a couple. Pretty sure they look ready to walk down the aisle right then and there in the pic above. When the two finally get around to walking down the aisle (ahem, catwalk), the ceremony is sure to feel more like a fashion show than anything else. And for that reason, we really need the two of them to tie the knot. Like, now.

Miss Espana and Vanessa Cortes
6. Patricia Yurena and DJ Vanessa Cortes
Patricia Yurena also known as Miss Spain 2013 was the first openly gay beauty queen. She came out back in 2014 after revealing on instagram that she was dating DJ and musician Vanessa Cortes. Although the two of them aren’t U.S. citizens, if they ever decide to pack up and leave Europe they can rest assured the the United States will welcome them with open, gay marriage friendly arms. If you hadn’t noticed our cover girl, Olivia Culpo, we happen to be quite the fan of beauty queens here at Galore We’d love to see the wedding pics of this former Miss Spain and Vanessa, no doubt they’d be stunning.

Ruby Rose and financée Phoebe Dhal
7. Ruby Rose and Pheobe Dhal
Every straight girl’s favorite gay girl, Ruby Rose is currently engaged to her fiancée Pheobe Dhal, and has been since March 2014. The two apparently decided to get married almost right away. Pheobe told Out magazine about how the two got engaged, “Ruby asked me to marry her before she told me she loved me. We got engaged within about three months, and after she proposed, she said, “Oh, I haven’t told you I love you yet! I love you!” I think there was a lot of judgment about how fast it was happening, but we knew what we wanted and it felt so right. Ruby is the most beautiful creature in the world, and I love her energy.” No doubt we all agree with Pheobe about Ruby’s beauty. And let’s be honest, we’d pretty much die for an invite to the wedding.
