Pitchfork Music Festival united music lovers far and wide this weekend from the snobbiest of music critics to the bro wearing Sperry’s, discovering Caribou for the first time. Despite the extremely bipolar weather, which ranged from 90 degree blazing heat and humidity to a dramatic downpour that almost cancelled day two, there was plenty to be thankful for at Union Park. For one, audiences were treated to amazing displays of girl power from queens like Kathleen Hanna and Sleater-Kinney. Across the board, the lineup provided sets with impressive musicianship. We narrowed down our six favorite things we saw this weekend in Chicago at Pitchfork Music Festival 2015.
