It’s no secret that girls love Beyonce. Drake posited the theory back in 2014, and over a year later, there’s still no evidence to the contrary. Obviously, there could be no better woman to cover Vogue’s infamous September Issue.

Beyoncé graces the cover looking like she just got out of the shower and put on whatever was closest to her: which in this case is a skin-tight pink dress designed by Marc Jacobs, with a red sequined coat thrown over her shoulder just in case.

Although on the inside of the magazine Beyoncé goes on to wear dresses by such ubiquitous designers as Versace, Stella McCartney and Givenchy, its Jacobs who provides the most illuminating insight as to why Beyoncé has kept held of our attention throughout all of these years. “The most powerful thing about her persona is the unabashed pleasure she takes in her own body: its beauty, its power, its versatility.”

And as the Daily Mail points out, the entire shoot is underwear free. Note to self: commando is in this fall and lingerie is out. Looks like all our laundry expenses are about to go waaaaaay up.

This is Beyoncé’s third time gracing the front of Vogue’s monthly fashion guide, it’s also the fourth time a black woman has covered the September issue, following Naomi Campbell in 1989, Halle Berry in 2010, and Joan Smalls in 2014.

For a sneak peak, visit Vogue’s website and get your fill of behind the scenes videos where Beyoncé flips her hair, seductively sticks a pair of keys down her cleavage, and of course, slides an airplane up her thigh.

What’s not to love about all that?
