Even when you can afford a stylist, you still have to love sweats.
Celebs across the board are reaching not just for a hoodie, but matching sweatsuits. Youâve definitely seen it â it can be cropped, oversized, or fitted, but itâs usually from the brands Danielle Guizio, Cotton Citizen, or Daniel Patrick.
All three brands have unisex options, and they all bring something unique to the table. Check out our breakdown of the brandâs and their individual attributes below. Which brand aligns with your vibe?
Danielle Guizio tends to go for the cropped look with subtler, more neutral tones for everyday life. The brand also just came out with velour matching sets, a nod to Juicy Couture, the OG brand of the velour tracksuit trend.
Some of the suits have zippers, and others are simple pullovers with raw hems. Thereâs also a really cool race track-looking option that Iâve been eying for a while now, as seen on people like the New York fashion blogger Danielle Bernstein of We Wore What, Bella and Gigi Hadid, and Kylie Jenner.
The designer has even begun getting requests of custom pieces from these celebs who are big fans of her work. While Danielle Guizioâs suits may seem more like lounge wear, they are still perfect for the likes of a fancy Melrose Sunday brunch. Their cropped look shows off your abs like no other sweatsuit set provides.
The brand is also now being sold on Revolveâs website, which makes for an easy add to the cart during your next fashion haul. Their price point is really doable, at around $100 for an entire set, and they also give you 15% off of your first order on their site. Danielle Guizio is a chill, laid-back version of the sweatsuit trend, worn best for doing errands or going to get your hair done while still looking chic for your Snap story.
This brand is being worn by every young celeb. Honestly.
Cotton Citizen adds something new to the sweatsuit set trend that other brands havenât done yet: thermal. They have thermal cropped sweaters with matching thermal sweatpants, and the texture of the material looks really cool when put together in a full fit.
Cotton Citizen also comes out with new colorways every time a collection drops, which keeps the cozy trend interesting and fun. This collectionâs wild card color is a vibrant baby blue they call âelectric.â They also have a vintage design which makes certain items of clothing look worn, and a dust design which gives an acid wash tone to the clothes.
While Cotton Citizen is at a higher price point than most, theyâre definitely worth it because of how comfortable their fabric is (itâs fucking soft) and how unique and fast-changing their colors are. While a lot of our faves are rocking this brand, Gigi Hadid seems to be their biggest supporter. Sheâs been seen all over in Cotton Citizen. This is definitely the sweatsuit brand you wear to the club when youâre trying to look like youâre not trying to look bomb. You feel?
While Daniel Patrick started as mainly a menâs label, Kendall Jenner wore out the brandâs camo t-shirt as a dress and they have since added a large womenâs collection (ty, Ken).
Biebs has been a serious fan of Daniel Patrick since their start, and wears the brand as often as if it was his uniform.
Daniel Patrick tends to use earthier tones, and also has a super cute camo print that is a favorite with those who wear the clothing. However, they also carry some pastel colorways that celebs like Pia Mia and Jasmine Sanders are fans of. Justin Bieber has also been seen wearing their orange, blotchy sweatshirt.
While Daniel Patrickâs cuts are similar, they switch their fabrics up often, making something different for customers to get their hands on. They also give a 10% off code for all new shoppers through their website. Their price point is on the higher side, so this offer is really nice if you want to get a sweatsuit with them.
Daniel Patrick is the brand you wear when you want to embrace that slouchy but sexy look for the movies on a third date with a new bae. Show off that tummy, girl.

A bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks just passed in the House of Representatives. It probably wonât become law, though, because it will likely not get enough votes in the Senate.
Itâs still troubling that the bill made it this far â especially because, as The Daily Dot points out, this is actually the second time the bill has passed the House. The same thing happened in 2015.
This bill amends the federal criminal code to make it a crime for any person to perform or attempt to perform an abortion if the probable post-fertilization age of the fetus is 20 weeks or more.
A violator is subject to criminal penaltiesâa fine, up to five years in prison, or both.
The bill provides exceptions for an abortion: (1) that is necessary to save the life of the pregnant woman, or (2) when the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest. A physician who performs or attempts to perform an abortion under an exception must comply with specified requirements.
A woman who undergoes a prohibited abortion may not be prosecuted for violating or conspiring to violate the provisions of this bill.
Thatâs right â if it becomes law, this bill will make it possible for doctors to be imprisoned for up to five years for performing abortions.
So why does the bill specify 20 weeks? Because anti-abortion folks believe thatâs when a fetus can feel pain. The bill itself is called âThe Pain-Capable Unborn Children Protection Act,â which is not only dystopian and alarmist, but possibly inaccurate.
You might think thereâs a silver lining in the fact that the bill doesnât apply to women whose lives would be saved by abortions, or women whose pregnancy is the result of rape or incest. But this provision actually makes it more clear that the billâs intent is to punish women for having sex. Why else would only some âunborn childrenâ be entitled to its protection?
Plus, no matter what their circumstances are, itâs not like women are getting abortions after 20 weeks for fun. Hereâs a statement from NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue explaining as much:
Abortion after twenty weeks of pregnancy is rare and almost always medically complicated. There is no place in these conversations for politicians pursuing an ideological agenda with no knowledge of the medical specifics of each case. Women making these difficult decisions need medical professionals, not tone deaf legislation.
This is a good time to remind the world that no one wants an abortion. The women who undergo abortions at any stage in a pregnancy would probably rather not be in that position, but an abortion is necessary for them. Punishing doctors for performing abortions will do nothing but force people to take more extreme measures to end their unwanted pregnancies.
Two weeks ago, we got the exciting opportunity to attend the Sex Expo, hosted this year in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, to talk to sex therapist Dr. Chris Donaghue.
Not only does he run his own private practice in L.A, but he also hosts the weekly podcast Loveline, with Amber Rose, who just hosted her third annual slut walk this weekend.
A post shared by Dr Chris Donaghue (@drdonaghue) on
Dr. Chris and Amber walking the slut walk together.
Bewildered with three gift bags full of products I had no clue how to use, I thought about how there still remains a disgusting stigma revolving female masturbation. This infographic shows how much more common daily masturbation is for men than it is for women. I had a chat with Dr. Chris, for first-time advice on exploring the world of masturbation.
âWeâre in a really difficult political climate and weâre in a time of female disempowerment, and sex I believe is a powerful and radical weapon of feminism and sparks a larger conversation about body positivity,â he said. This is the main focus in his practice.
Before you even touch a sex toy, evaluate how the media youâre surrounded by influences your self-image.
âAnyone whoâs starting out in the world of masturbation and toys should stop following media that is body negative, or all about thinspo,â Dr. Chris said.
He works with many clients who admit the reason they struggle with their sexuality is because the images they consume have convinced them their bodies are undesirable.
Use Instagram for healthy inspiration, instead.
âThe things you surround yourself with internalize who you want to become,â he said. Instead of scrolling through vegan meal plan pages and stalking the Victoriaâs Secret Angels, follow body positive feminists instead.
Not only will you feel better, but the influence will better guide you through your own body discovery. In regards to sexual awakening, all of these things support or dilute each other.
Also cut out the negative influences IRL.
âItâs all about language, so really start to pay attention to how you and those around you talk about sex and other bodies,â he said.
Do your friends still slut shame? Do you guys still talk about certain bodies as being undesirable or illegitimate? You should probz quit it, because not only is it rude, but it could be hampering your own self-pleasure and you donât even realize it.
âYou have to tell yourself that you want to make masturbation something thatâs a part of your life, and in order to do that, you should do some research with different articles,â he said. Setting aside time for this reinforces its importance.
Make masturbation a conversation.
âTalk about it. Not talking about something just shows shame and guilt,â Dr. Chris said.
Talking about masturbation publicly destructs its stigma. Youâll feel more comfortable doing it its becomes something youâre not trying to hide from others.
With that being said, go all out.
âIâm a huge fan of going to an actual sex shop,â Dr. Chris advised. âYou can order something quickly and discreet online but thatâs reinforcing the idea that it should be quick or discreet.â
When you strut into your local sex boutique, your mere presence shows that youâre on a journey to discover your own sexuality. And you donât care if someone sees you walking in or out of there.
You donât have to google all the information you need to know.
âThe really high end sex boutiques have high trained staff that can explain what the different curves and additional components mean, and the difference between certain plastics vs. natural materials,â Dr. Chris said. âThey can talk about what kind of lube you need to use with each product, because certain oils can erode different plastics, and educate you cleaning practices.â
Use all five of your senses. Touch them, see them, hold them⌠just donât taste them until youâve bought them (if at all).
His recommended sex shop isâŚ
âI send my clients to Pleasure Chest  because have a really great educated staff, and everyone there has gone through training. Itâs a beautiful, huge, clean space,â he said.
For all of you bi-coastal babes, they have locations in LA and NYC.
Make it a girlsâ day out.
âTake friends with you. Donât go in there nervous and giggling, go in there confident,â Dr. Chris said.
Make a pact with your friends, and agree to take it seriously. Explain to them that you guys are there to look at things, talk to people, ask questions, and if youâre ready, purchase something.
Now that you and your friends are educated and prepared, itâs time to introduce your partner.
âThe act of talking to your partner about the fact that you have a sex toy and want to use it together, is not only a sign of intimacy but its a sign of care and trust,â Dr. Chris said.
A sponsor of the Sex Expo, TENGA conducted a recent survey which brought the attention to a concerning outcome: most people arenât talking to their significant others about masturbation. If youâre hiding the discussion from your partner, youâre holding back parts of your sexuality. For women, this reinforces the shame and guilt that we are expected to hold with our sexual desires.
âConfidently tell them that you want them to know more about you,â Dr. Chris said.
You should be specific, and express to them that you want to make make your masturbation something thatâs part of the relationship. If you have healthy partner, theyâll be glad to partake in it.
Most importantly, we live in a misogynistic political climate, where the sexual freedom of women is being threatened. Dr. Chris believes that sex is one of the most powerful, radical weapons of the revolution towards gender equality and body positivity.

If youâve been a fan of Shameless like most of the world, you watched a bb Emma Kenney grow up throughout the eight seasons of the show. Now, sheâs officially eighteen, and sheâs got big dreams to star in a movie in Paris and go to film school.
Even though Emma has been a main character on a hit show in Hollywood for the past eight years, sheâs still a normal teenage girl who crushes on sk8r bois and shops frequently at LF. Emma is also very serious about cutting out animal products from our diets, and is a close friend to many animal organizations and shelters. Check out our interview and photoshoot with the actress below, inspired by the ladies of the 50s that she is obsessed with.
Youâve been on the show Shameless for a long time now. Not all shows last that long. Did you expect to be signed on for that amount of time when you first accepted the role?
No, yâknow I started the show when I was 10, and my mother and I both kind of figured it would go for a few years, maybe two years. And it just kind of kept on going, it just didnât end. And now Iâm 18 and Iâve turned into an adult on it, so itâs really cool. Iâm so blessed.
Tell us a little bit about what itâs like to grow up on a show. You basically had a second family, right?
Yeah, itâs weird! Itâs kind of interesting because Iâll get people that come up to me on the street and theyâll give me hugs and say, âI watched you grow up!â And my motherâs always like, âWhaaattttâŚdonât touch my daughter.â [laughs] And Iâm a little taken aback sometimes but I have to think about it, like, these people did literally watch me grow up on television, whether I know them or not!
Do you think that the people youâve worked with have shaped you as an actress at all, and if so, how?
Yeah, for sure! Iâve learned SO much from everybody Iâve worked with. Iâm very curious, I always ask questions on set â not just to the actors, but to the crew and production as well. Thereâs so much that goes on in the making of a set and itâs very cool to me. I want to go to film school. But yeah, Iâve learned to be on time, how to be prepared for a scene, how to act on set, through the entire cast. I really look up to the people I work with on Shameless. Everybody had a lot of history and a lot of knowledge.
When itâs time for Shameless to be over, how hard is it going to be to say goodbye to a show that has been such a huge part of your life?
Itâs gunna be hard for sure, but weâve all created such a tight bond that itâs not going to be a goodbye with each other, itâs just going to be a goodbye to the Shameless family era. I think itâs definitely going to be rare for all of us to work together ever again after the show, which sucks because weâve created such a great working dynamic together. But weâll obviously stay in touch.
Iâve grown up with the character. Weâve grown up together in a weird unison, but opposite ways. Itâs very odd. Itâs been a lot of life imitating art and art imitating life. The writers and their experiences, and the character weâve created as a whole. I care about the character, and Iâm a little bit defensive over her. Iâm very protective over Debbie, as almost like a little sister or a friend. A very personal relationship.
So obviously everyone associates you with Deb, but actors arenât always like their characters. Are you anything like Deb, though?
No. I mean, in a way, I guess. I suppose there are certain similarities. Sometimes if I meet people, theyâll be like, âOh, you talk just like Debbie!â And Iâm like, yeah. Thatâs just my voice [laughs]. People also tell me I look so different in person, and itâs like of course I donât look the same as Debbie does, I donât have a baby on me, I wear makeup in real life â as superficial as those comparisons are.
Character driven-wise, though, Debbie and I are very different because I think weâve just had different experiences growing up. But, there are still natural human emotions that are similar. Debbie and I cry the same way, we feel the same sadness and all that, because itâs just me. There are similarities, but just different circumstances.
Yeah, I had a huge crush on Jeremy [Jeremy Allen White, her co-star and brother on the show] growing up, when I was like, ten. The first season. And Justin Chatwin. But, not anymore [laughs]. Now theyâre like my brothers. Itâd be weird. Now Iâm like repulsed by them. Kidding. I love them.
Whatâs the funniest thing thatâs ever happened on set?
We have a lot of funny experiences on set. I donât know. I think this season in general, has been a really funny one, because weâve been on this show for eight years, so weâre all just so close that we are just like, letâs make it exciting and bring something new to this. So now weâre just like, stupid on set. We obviously take our jobs seriously, weâre very professional when the cameras are rolling and shit, but in between weâre just stupid. Like Jeremy, Cameron, and I do this thing â I fully take credit for starting this â but weâll bounce on our toes Backstreet Boys-style and go âWoo!â Like, âLetâs get ready, boys!â
What was your favorite scene or episode to film and why?
Ok, so episode three of season 8 is SO good. Itâs one of my favorites. I did ADR for it yesterday, audio digital recording, which is where you fill in sound if thereâs dialogue that has sound going over it or whatever. So I saw a ton of footage from the episode yesterday, and like, I donât watch the show myself, but this episode was so good that I was begging the sound guys to show me more scenes. And we had a lot of crazy night shoots for this episode, a lot of work leading up to it, and it felt great that all that hard work had paid off.
I donât know, I just donât like to watch my own work. It puts me in my head and I start over thinking it â and on superficial levels. When I was young, I watched back footage where maybe I was insecure and playing the character in a superficial way where I was literally posing in a scene. And itâs like, damn. Thatâs not acting. So I donât like to look at it anymore. Maybe it came with age or maturity, but now, I donât let superficial things block me or get in my head. Iâve learned the tricks to avoiding that, and for me personally, that involves not watching my work.
Where are you from? How did you get into acting?
Iâm from Brooklyn. When I was four years old, I started in an acting class, and I got a manager through one of the showcases at the end of the classes. I was sent out on auditions, and for the most part I was just doing student films at NYU. Actually, I did a student film when I was really young, which had a lot of blocking choreography â not dancing, but a lot of movements and motions and following marks. And that was kind of the moment when I was like this is so cool and fun and I love doing this. And last night I had a night shoot until 3 a.m. and we filmed a similar scene, and it reminded me of that, and I was like, wow I really still love it.
Do you go to regular school? How is growing up in Hollywood different?
I graduated high school in May, actually. At first I was going to public school in New Jersey when we werenât filming. I would wrap in LA, then fly to New Jersey and I went to school there. I stopped going there my sophomore year, because the kids were mean and would kind of judge me. Sometimes even the teachers would be weird.
It was a very judgmental dynamic. I wanted to be chill and be friends with people, but they were just mean naturally. They would take pictures of me and shit â just stupid, mean, teenage things. Iâm still friends with some people out there, though, that Iâm still in touch with. But then I came out to LA and I graduated from an actor school in Malibu, and it was cool because we all grew up doing events and stuff together, and then we walked in graduation together.
You seem to have a tight group of friends. How did you all meet, and how do you maintain the friendships when you all seem so busy!
I actually met most of my friends in LA through Ethan, who plays Carl on the show and who is basically like my brother in real life â heâs my best friend. Iâm kind of introverted. My personality is extroverted but I donât like to go out often, and I like to do my own thing. I didnât have a lot of friends growing up.
Ethan pretty much just introduced me to all of my friends now, and weâve just made a friend group from that. My friends are really good people. They have their heads on straight, we all support each other, and we all want the best for each other, which is the right friendship. And itâs so find to hard out here! Iâm so happy that my friends will always be there.
Youâre pretty outspoken about being a pescatarian. Why is cutting out animal protein important to you, and what do you want people to know about it?
I just think itâs unethical to eat meat. Itâs just unnecessary. And some people talk about how much they love it and theyâre just not gunna give it up and that sucks. But I think that if everyone even made a small effort into yâknow, not eating meat even one night a week, it would make a huge impact.
Whatâs the easiest first step towards cutting out animal protein?
I think small steps. You can research, Google it, get a bunch of books. A lot of people thing going vegan, vegetarian, or pescatarian is more expensive, but it definitely doesnât need to be. Actually, it can be cheaper. You can buy a box of pasta for $2 which will give you multiple meals.
I just donât think itâs good [to eat meat]. Youâre just eating negative energy and fear; I just donât think itâs ethical. I eat fish because Iâm extremely anemic â basically if you touch me, I bruise. They have to airbrush me every day on set. So I have to eat fish. And then, I eat cheese as well, because honestly I just love cheese. Meatâs also just not good for you. If you want to do it for selfish reasons, then stop eating it because itâs bad for you.
Youâre anemic. The symptoms of that are pretty crazy, and being iron deficient is scary especially at a young age. Is that something youâre outspoken about?
Iâm severely anemic. I bruise and bleed so easily â Iâm bleeding right now! Bro, Iâm falling apart! My skin is just sensitive. I had thick skin growing up and now I have thin skin [laughs]. Favorite hashtag #anemicactresslife. I mean I talk about being anemic publicly a lot. But no, I mean take your iron pills if youâre deficient. Donât not take your pills.
You donât seem to take yourself seriously on Instagram, and I think thatâs what a lot of your fans love about you. Is social media just not your thing or do you just like to have fun with it?
I love social media, and I love having fun with it. Everyone always makes fun of me because Iâm always Snapchatting and Instagram story-ing, but itâs just fun to enjoy your life and remember it. I love stalking my own Instagram. Iâm always doing it. My captions are so dumb I just write whatever comes to my head. I just donât care! As long as youâre spreading positive energy.
Were you ever bullied growing up for having red hair? If so, what did you learn from that?
Yeah, in New Jersey the kids would be mean to me, shouting Debbie at me. I donât know. I donât even remember all of it. It affected me in the moment but it didnât long-term affect me, because I realized itâs literally so stupid. If kids are being mean to you because youâre working hard and doing what you love, itâs stupid. Do your own thing and do good for yourself, and those things wonât affect you.
I really look up to Emmy Rossum. I truly do. Sheâs been a great role model the entire time Iâve known her. Sheâs got an amazing work drive and work ethic, sheâs taught me so much about how to carry myself on set and in this industry, how to carry myself in a proper, strong way. Emmy fought for equality and equal pay on Shameless because she was being paid less than Bill Macy, our male lead, which makes no sense because sheâs our female lead. Naturally, they should get equal pay, and Emmy really fought for that. I also look up to Shanola Hampton. They both have taught me so much about being positive and being a strong woman and a strong actress.
What advice do you have for young girls who donât feel like they fit in?
Iâve never felt like I fit in. Iâm weird, outspoken, and odd. But thatâs whatâs fun about life. You find your friends eventually. You WILL find people who get you and understand you for you. Growing up kind of sucks. Iâve found the people who love me for me, as clichĂŠ as that sounds, and itâs amazing. If you get bad vibes from someone, just donât hang out with them. Thereâs just no point.
How do you deal with any hate that you get, IRL or online?
I make a joke of everything. Maybe thatâs not good? And sometimes Iâll respond to people online with something stupid.
What do you think youâll be doing in the next five years?
Iâm about to start a new show, Roseanne, and Iâll also be filming Shameless. So Iâm going to be apart of these two amazing shows, which is so rad, I feel so blessed. Iâm really grateful. I also want to travel, and go to film school. I just turned 18, so I literally have my whole life ahead of me.
Tell us about your dog!
Oh my gosh. My dog, Charlie, is a German shepherd terrier mix. Sheâs a girl, but we all call her Charles as a joke. Itâs just so funny because she looks like a Charles. Sheâs also so spoiled. I adopted her from this spot on La Cienega, called Saving Spot Rescue, and she was just a baby when I got her, around 3 or 4 months. She was from Compton, and they brought her into this shelter. Charlie is amazing, sheâs a Scorpio, sheâll be one on October 30th. And I just love her, sheâs so cute. She didnât have a lot of confidence at first. Whether youâre going to adopt or buy a dog, thereâs always that shy period, though, so why not just adopt? I personally say adopt.
I have so many. I want to do an action movie, a Hunger Games style movie, I want to do a 70s period piece. I really want to work with Gus Van Sant, heâs my favorite director. I want to work with Gia Coppola. I want to do a movie in Paris. Thereâs so much that I want to do. I hope I have time for it all.
Favorite vegan restaurant?
Gracias Madre.
Would you consider yourself an old soul or a new soul and why?
Old soul. I have a weird theory about life, I feel like thereâs nine lives in a soul, and youâre 9th life is a cat, where youâre just chilling and youâve lived all your experiences. Cats are such weird aliens. So I feel like Iâm on my 8th life, and next Iâll be a cat. I feel like Iâve been here for a minute.
Coconut milk or oat milk?
Almond milk.
Where do you get your coffee?
Alfredâs.
Since this shoot is 50s themed, who is your favorite 50s lady and why?
Iâll be basic and say Marilyn Monroe and Lauren Bacall.
Favorite color to wear with your red hair?
I love a forest green.
What do you look for in a partner?
Commitment, kindness, and trustworthiness. And I like skater boys. Or surfer boys. Yeah, thatâs hot [laughs].
How can someone reading this help support those organizations?
You can donate to the organizations, or adopt, or even just bring awareness to them. Then definitely trying to go a meal a day or a meal a week with no animal products.
Your favorite trend from the suburbs is officially back. No longer relegated to the very back of your closet, the logos that once thought were dated af are finally back from the fashion graveyard.

Ken, meet Barbie. Barbie, meet Ken. Tell me, who else can get more meta than the blonde plastic doll herself? As an ode to Ruth Handlerâs finest creation, Missguided released a killer collab with Barbie. One of my personal faves is this super cute mesh bodysuit as itâs chicly sexy, yet incredibly sophisticated like the doll herself. Show your love for your childhood style icon by rocking this with a matching pink miniskirt, bomber jacket and thigh high boots.
Itâs 2017 and everyone is hopping on the DeLorean to the era before pop culture âdied.â As the kween of #tbt fashions, Juicy Couture resurrected their velour track pants just for you. Swap the Ugg boots and Tiffany jewelry for a one-shoulder sweater top, hoop earrings and clear PVC boots.
3. The Lil Kim Tribute Earrings You Absolutely Need
The red carpet may be rolled up, but nothing else screams more #tbt worthy than seeing a pair of big hoop earrings with a logo on it. If Lil Kim were to rock this in the â90s, she wouldâve dialed her stylist to go grab it for her. Pay a tribute to the *original* Queen Bee with a logoed belt, brown lipstick, mini dress and a feather-trim coat.
Halloween may be a couple of weeks away, but hear me out: you can channel your faves with their go-to #fbf accessory. As the go-to brand for every girl who wanted statement pieces, Von Dutch turned Paris Hilton, Gwen Stefani and Anna Nicole Smith into bonafide style icons with their statement hats. Rock this cap with a pair of red lips, bling and a whole lotta denim for that â00s bombshell vibe.
5. The âNo Commentâ Statement Necklace You Need to Wear
If Carrie Bradshaw was a woke millenial, she wouldnât be wearing a basic ass âFEMINISTâ slogan tee. Instead, sheâd be rocking a nameplate necklace with something other than her own name. NĂźhanzhi, a Chinese term that means âmanly womanâ, is a NYC-based fashion label that you canât miss out on. If you see a cat caller, let this necklace do the talking. Never have you ever found a chicer way to flip off the assholes.
The late, great Hef may not be walking on earth anymore, but celebrate his legacy by treating yourself to a little slice of Playboy heaven. Chokers might be so 2016, but the quintessential bunny logo makes this girl next door staple a statement necklace you MUST keep for the rest of the year.
You donât need to be in Harvard to earn a degree, but you can fake it with this super collegiate-chic polo tee. Cropped above the waist for that Britney Spears circa â99 look, Riri takes it to the next level with her Fenty University emblem. Stamped near the breast, THIS logo is something that you canât ignore as it will make all your school mascots roll on the bleachers. Do you with a plaid miniskirt and big puffer jacket.
OK. Right now, the weather isnât overly too terrible, but brace yourselves because winter is coming. As the temps drop, turn to your grandmotherâs favorite hack (i.e. gloves) to hide your chipped manicure. If you hate gloves and want to try them, I dare you to try this trend! The logos on them instantly dress it up for every occasion whether it be hitting the clubs or skiing in Aspen with your family. While gloves may sound non-practical and intimidating, you can thank me later.
Scotland-based beauty company REEK is killing the perfume game one unedited campaign photo at a time.
Mother-daughter duo Molly and Sara are mixing shit up (fragrances and standards) in the beauty industry to pay homage to all of the women who paved the way for us but never made it into the textbooks. They want REEK to be a daily reminder of the achievements and power of women who go against the grain to all those who sport the scent.
In line with memorializing women whose stories have been muted, REEK has named its two scents Damn Rebel Bitch and Damn Rebel Witch â an allusion to two labels unapologetic women have been unreasonably given throughout history. The company makes it a point to use models representing a variety of body types, ages, races, and gender identities. That being said, they refuse to retouch any of their campaign photos, stating that their models donât need any editing.
All of their products are hand-mixed, hand-poured, and cruelty free. With notes of blood orange, hazelnut, pink peppercorn, clary sage, malt and an amber accord, Damn Rebel Bitch is a light, slinky fragrance â an easy, everyday scent for anyone looking to switch things up. Damn Rebel Witch is more bold, moody, and earthy, with hints of blood orange, hazelnut, malt, orange pips, twigs, leaves, leather, tobacco, musk and moorlands.
Both fragrances can be worn alone or together, because freedom to express yourself is company culture at REEK. Check out their smells and other products on their website and find out if youâre a witch or a bitch (or both)!
It is crazy for me to think about how many of us lived off of the Sex and the City series. I for one was fed by it, especially during my college years, just like Carrie was once fed by Vogue. I know that the series and films were loved by so many fans, and that those fans still wanted more after the second film. A third film had been a myth that fans were hoping would come to fruition for a long time. When the possibility of SATC3 actually came around, people were obviously stoked.
But, during an interview with Extra, Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed that the production of the third movie was shut down and that she was disappointed. Between Twitter wars and Instagram captions, shade is being thrown in every direction via the Sex and the City former co-stars. This m0vie shut down drama wasnât the start of it all, though. The actors have been rumored to get on each otherâs nerves long before this week.
While the stars always deny rumors of any issues with getting along with one another, the social posts this week definitely point to some sort of rift between Kim Cattrall and the rest of the cast. No one will ever really know what happened during pre-production for the third film â all that we have is the social media posts from the cast pointing the blame in various directions, and the history of a supposed feud between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall.
Brace yourselves for our timeline of their beef from as early on as 2004.
2004:
The show was on itâs last leg (aka season 6) when Cattrall did an interview with Johnathan Ross, a British TV host, about how she asked for higher pay on the series. During her interview on Friday Night With Johnathan Ross, Cattrall said that she asked to be paid $1 million per episode, versus the $350,000 she was previously getting. Many speculated that she was angry because Parker was paid much more per episode, because she was the main character and an executive producer on the series. Cattrall said, âWhen they didnât seem keen on that I thought it was time to move on.â
2008:
Four years after the series ended, the movie premiered. The reason the movie took so long to begin production was supposedly due to salary negotiations. However, Parker defended Cattrall about the salary stall in an interview with The Telegraph, saying, âNo one should vilify her for it.â Parker mentioned that everyone assumed the cast was angry with Cattrall for initially not wanting to do the first movie, and said, âNo one bothered to say  [to the rest of us], âAre you disappointed by not making the movie?â Yes. âDo you respect and support her choice to not do it?â Absolutely.â
Cattrall also mentioned in the same interview with The Telegraph that the hold-up wasnât all about the money â she returned to Canada for a while to be with her family, as she was going through a divorce and her father was diagnosed with dementia.
In an interview with Elle, Parker was asking to discuss the Cattrall âfeudâ once again. âI donât think anybody wants to believe that I love Kim. I adore her. I wouldnât have done the movie without her. Didnât and wouldnât.â So why does everybody keep insisting the two hate each other?
2010:
Cattrall said something of the same in an interview with The Daily Mail, mentioning that the rumors were boring her. âPeople donât want to believe that we get on. They have too much invested in the idea of two strong, successful women fighting with each other. It makes for juicy gossip and cop. The truth of us being friends and getting along and happily doing our jobs together is nowhere near as newsworthyâŚShe and I are sick of thisâŚNext?â
Later in the year, the female leads of Sex and the City did a Marie Claire interview, and Parker admitted that obviously âfeelings get hurtâ during long weeks on set with the same people for that many years. Cattrall added that the âpress has to put women in these boxes, rather than show them as the movie portrays them: working together and being powerful.â
Parker posted a photo on Instagram for Cattrallâs birthday sending her love and calling her a âsister.â In an interview with Time, Parker said, âI posted something on Kimâs birthday and people were like, âOh my God, I didnât know you liked her! What? We were all at liberty to walk away at any time! But nobody asked those questions of shows with men. Isnât that interesting?â
Sheâs not wrong â no one is coming up with these kinds of rumors for shows with male leads.
In an interview on Howard Sternâs radio show, Parker discussed the fact that the press has loved pitting women against each other, namely her and her co-star Cattrall. âWas every day perfect? Were people always desperately, hopefully in love with each other? No, but this is a family of people who needed each other, relied upon each other and loved each other. This sort of narrative, this ongoing catfight, it really upset me for a very long time.â
2017:
Now for the current events. In an interview with Extra, Parker said of the third movie option, âItâs overâŚweâre not doing it. Iâm disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. Itâs not just disappointing that we donât get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie.â
Then, Willie Garson who played Stanford on the series tweeted this:
Disappointed for all crew holding on for negotiations to conclude for their jobs, and of course, for the fans. Leave it at that. #Truth
Which is definitely understandable. After a lot of negotiation and back and forth, itâs most likely devastation for not just the fans and cast to call it quits, but also the many crew members who were counting on the job.

With the negative media coverage all centered around Cattrall, though, she was bound to stick up for herself. She tweeted this as a response to the majority of the internet blaming her for the shut down of the project:
Woke 2 a @MailOnlinestorm! The only âDEMANDâ I ever made was that I didnât want to do a 3rd filmâŚ.& that was back in 2016
Then, on Piers Morganâs show, Life Stories, Cattrall spoke out about Parkerâs comments in regards to her initial statement about the cancellation of the film.
âAnd now, now at this very moment itâs quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something that Iâve been saying for almost a year of ânoâ that Iâm demanding or a diva,â Cattrall said, as per this The Daily Mail article. âAnd this is really where I take to task the people from Sex and the City and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker in that I think she could have been nicer. I really think she could have been nicer. I donât know what her issue is, I never have.â
Her saying that she has never understood Parkerâs issue with her is alarming, though, because theyâve spent their careers denying any issues. Then, Willie Garson also tweeted something that seemed to be about Cattrall.
Dear fans, because Iâm âtoxicâ, Iâm going to negotiate a contract for 6 months, not come to terms, then say I never wanted to do it anyway.
But, no one is actually to blame for SATC 3 being scrapped. There are mostly speculations about it all being Cattrallâs fault, but if she really quit the project because she wanted more money or wanted to further other projects, can any of us blame her? The TV/film industry is certainly difficult to be in, especially as a woman.
Are we going to vilify Jennifer Lawrence for asking for a pay raise? Are we mad that they refuse to do the film without Cattrall (letâs be honest, it would not be Sex and the City without her anyway)? Are we only mad at Cattrall because yes, our dream movie isnât going to get made and yes, we need a scape goat somehow? I am devastated about the news, but the details in this timeline can maybe help all of us understand that there maybe wasnât really a âfeudâ in the first place, and that maybe Cattrall deserves more than what sheâs gotten. Maybe they all do.
There are two types of girls: the ones who donât worry and the ones who have been worried since they saw their friendâs sisterâs roommate follow their boyfriend on Instagram two weeks ago.
A lot of this can probably be chalked up to your personality type and propensity for anxiety buuuuut on the other hand, where thereâs smoke, there might be that girl from your BFâs chemistry class that seems like she needs a little too much homework help lately.
Here are the five girls every guy will tell you not to worry about. Just remember: worrying wonât keep that dirty dog from straying, so live your freakinâ life and even if shit does go down, DONâT BLAME THE GIRL.
1. The horse girl
Every school had a horse girl and if you donât know who she was, you probably were her. In fact she probably looks down on you for not being a horse. Does she even own one? Or just horse-themed apparel? But donât let the air-dried ponytail fool you, this girl is definitely a freak and is galloping over to steal your man.
Itâs probably a warning sign that she doesnât have any girlfriends. But sheâs pretty sure itâs just because all girls are crazy! Except her of course.
Sheâs mildly good at drinking beer and watching pool, and extremely good at making you feel uncomfortable. Donât even waste your time trying to befriend her cause she literally doesnât care. Your BF probably even told you sheâs âlike his sisterâ but donât let that fool you. Heâs a freak and totally into the bro vibes sheâs putting off â we all know dudes secretly wanna date each other half the time.
Not really a surprise. Coworkers spend a lot of time together, and while youâre living your daily 9-to-5 doing your thing, Heather from HR is definitely doing her thing. Donât be surprised if she startâs popping up in social gatherings and says things like, âWow, I didnât know you come here!â She literally didnât until she went 200 weeks deep in your Instagram. Now Heather knows everything.
This random girl with a username like LilMatchaLatte or Yung_35mm shows up on your BFâs Venmo. She uses a ton of random emojis. And youâre thinking WTF does that mean, why did she pay for smile, sushi, cat-face, rainbow, star? This is definitely code for⌠trying to steal your man!!! Total red flag.
And no, it was not for a school thing. Donât even let him go there.
Itâs not your fault youâre from Maine and not Madrid! But itâs also not her fault that her accent is such a show stopper. Honestly, kinda tough to compete with this one. May as well say adios cause she won it pretty easy.

Again: if someoneâs gonna cheat theyâre gonna cheat and you canât waste your time trying to predict who itâll be or decode what every little thing means. Kindly hand him to any one of the above and say, âheâs yours now, good luck!â ¯\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
Now that you can listen to literally anything you could possibly want at any time using streaming services like Apple Music, it can feel freaking impossible to pick just one playlist. Sometimes you just wanna play music roulette and have someone else pick for you, ya know?
Thanks to a new Facebook Messenger feature, you can *literally* do that.
Starting today, Messenger users can interact with the Apple Music bot on their own or share songs with their friends using the Apple Music chat extension in a group or one-on-one conversation.
Plus, you can browse for music using an emoji. Just pick your fave, and Messenger will give you a suggestion â weâre partial to the flame emoji playlist. Youâll see what it is when you try it
Hereâs how it works:
1. In a group or one-on-one conversation, you can tap the plus (+) icon to add the Apple Music âchat extensionâ to the conversation. From there, you can share songs with friends.
2. To interact with the bot on your own, simply search âApple Musicâ from your home screen in Messenger and from there, you can discover new artists and music genres quickly and easily
You can share and listen to full tracks on Apple Music RIGHT NOW. And if you donât have a subscription to Apple Music, hey, you can still listen to some 30-second snippets. Click here to get started.
Thereâs a new trend on social media where people divulge exactly how far theyâd go âfor that D.â
Weâll be more excited when the âfor that Vâ trend starts, but thatâs neither here nor there.
Kourtney Kardashian decided to hop on the bandwagon today. Since a tear in the space-time continuum has led to her being the ONLY Kardashian or Jenner to attend Paris Fashion Week this year, she sent her cryptic âfor that Dâ post straight from the Louvre:
A post shared by Kourtney Kardashian (@kourtneykardash) on
âilluminati,â her caption reads, âwhich one of my sisters you want for that D.â
Putting aside our questions about what the illuminatiâs metaphorical D might look like, this is quite the aggro post! Which sister do you think Kourtney would give up first? Probably Kylie, right? I donât think weâve ever seen them interact on camera, TBH. Also, whyâd she specify sisters? Is it because the illuminatiâs D would probably be like âthanks, but no thanksâ if she offered them Rob?
When the Ta-Ta Towel first started circulating online, I laughed to myself a bit because the idea does seem ridiculous when you heard about it â a terry cloth boob sling? Just, why?
Little did I know that I was actually in dire need for the boob-centric towel towards the end of this summer. The writers at Galore insisted that someone had to try the towel out, and I volunteered myself because to be honest, my tits were sweating a lot. I had gained weight from a diagnosis of hypothyroidism that I was unable to shed, and unfortunately, I gained a lot of that weight in my boobs.
I know, some of you are thinking, âWhy is she complaining about having big boobs?â But Iâm not complaining about having big boobs. Iâm just complaining about the sweat that they produce, especially in the months of July and August.
Prior to the Ta-Ta Towel, I tried everything. I would stuff paper towels underneath my bra, I went braless, I rubbed deodorant all over my upper rib cage, I even wore multiple bras to just soak up the sweat. None of these DIY tactics worked. I was simply getting used to the idea that I would have sweaty blotches on my bodysuits for life. So when the Ta-Ta Towel first came out, I was truly willing to try anything!
Whatâs cool is the founder of the towel, Erin Robertson, had the same trial and error as I, and many others turned believers, did. She was about to go on a first date and she couldnât seem to get her boob sweat under control. One of her friends would get rashes from sweat building up, and after using the towel, her rashes stopped. Apparently pregnant women are also attesting to how amazing the product is, especially during the breastfeeding months. I was waiting for a solution to my boob sweat without even really knowing it.
The Ta-ta Towel comes in a bunch of fun colors, and theyâre also reversible to keep your roommates on their toes. I asked to be surprised about the color I was being sent, and I received fallâs special edition, Pumpkin Spice â a vibrant orange with a white floral pattern on the reverse side. Orange isnât really something I ever wear out, so I was excited to rock it within the comfort of my apartment.
I moved into a new apartment recently, and without the Ta-Ta Towel, I would have gotten those aforementioned sweat rashes while hauling boxes. I was moving stuff around, building furniture, and deep cleaning all month, and all of it was a fairly comfortable experience because of this towel.
I was sweating a ton even with my AC on in the August heat, but I wasnât sweating my tits off â a discomfort that really would have made me give up on moving in at all. I started living in my Ta-Ta Towel, and started wearing it in friendsâ apartments.
The best part is that it really just looks like any other bra or bathing suit top. My best friendâs boyfriend didnât think twice when he saw me lounging in it with the gals for a GOT marathon. I even wore it to a Target run a block away from my place, without so much a comment on what the hell I was wearing. Aka sweat-free errands ftw. So, if youâre worried about standing out like a sore thumb wearing this thing in public, you most likely wonât.
A lot of people said they didnât know how to feel about the Ta-Ta Towel, but my review is set in stone. I am officially obsessed with this new pro-boob invention. Itâs about time women got something like this made for us. We deserve to be comfortable cooking over the stove in the summer or straightening our hair on the way to a dick appointment. Ta-Ta Towel is there for you during these times.
Everyoneâs favorite re-engaged couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are currently living together in a house he bought in Malibu â but thereâs an insane back story for how they got there, which Miley just divulged to Howard Stern.
Back when Miley and Liam were broken up, Liam was house-shopping in Malibu, Miley said.
âWhen Liam â heâs my boyfriend now â when we broke up for a minute, he wanted to get away from me, he wanted to go to Malibu, and bought this house,â she said.
Is your birth control covered by health insurance right now? Thatâs great â as long as your employer (or your parentsâ employer) isnât morally against it.
Donald Trump just rolled back an order from the Obama years that required employers to cover birth control even if they might have moral or religious objections. That means that now, if your or your parentsâ employer is religious or morally against contraception, they wonât have to pay for your birth control anymore.
Under the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, over 55 million women were given access to free birth control thanks to this mandate.
But Trumpâs people say the Affordable Care Act does not explicitly require coverage of contraceptives. Instead, that coverage was provided by a mandate from Obama â and the mandate is exactly what Trump just rolled back.
During the Obama years, religious schools, colleges, hospitals and charitable organizations, priests and nuns and even some owners of private for-profit companies who objected to some forms of birth control were faced with lawsuits when they tried to get out of paying for employeesâ birth control, according to the The New York Times. But now, such organizations will be free to deny coverage to women.
Clearly, this is a move designed to appeal to the Republican partyâs conservative Christian base.
âPresident Trump promised that this administration would âlead by example on religious liberty,â and he is delivering on that promise,â Attorney General Jeff Sessions said.
The order goes into affect immediately, according to the Times. That means as soon as this month, your birth control could skyrocket in cost.
Now, hundreds of thousands of women could lose birth control benefits they currently receive at no cost under the Affordable Care Act. According to the The New York Post, The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists said this policy could affect the number of unintended pregnancies.
The CDC reports that teen pregnancy rates have dropped to record lows since 2014. This is probably because birth control has been cheaper and more widely available to many teenagers. The rollback of this mandate could undo that progress.
I recently speed-read âPretty Powerfulâ by TV Newscaster and Author Eboni K. Williams on my iPhone.
I kept saying to myself, âsame, girl, same.â In elementary school, being called out about your looks was the definition of a hater, yet women are still up against a lot of criticism for even daring to wear purple nail polish! But you already knew that.
The former beauty queen turned attorney (who specialized in family law and civil litigation ) merged her legal expertise with her passion for journalism to dive into the world of television as a political correspondent. If youâre not familiar with her face on your tube, she recently released a âdocket where she berated Trump on Fox News on why his remarks to the Charlottesville terrorist attack were cowardly.
âNo more benefit, all doubt,â she says in a bright red sleeveless dress. If youâre going to rip apart the âleader of the free worldâ with words, best to come correct.
In âPretty Powerful,â Eboni profiles famous businesswomen and politicians and features first-hand thoughts about their experiences leading a boss lifestyle. In one chapter labeled âthe bimbo effect,â our Galore Muva Tyra Banks shares why she had to boss up on âem with a Harvard Business School degree. *snaps*
Hereâs what the southern belle has to say about being pretty, and some legal-ish advice to approaching social media like a boss. Go inside our conversation. Answers have been lightly edited for clarity.
What made you write this book?
In todayâs climate, particularly with social media â Snapchat, Instagram Stories, Facebook â weâve never lived in a more visually driven society. As much as I would love talking about elevating beyond concern with the appearance, the truth is weâre even more concerned with it now than ever before.
And so I think we have to reconcile how to deal with that concern because thatâs not going anywhere. I think itâs elevating but also equally really more so concern ourselves with the substance development And investing in our education our academic excellence our integrity as professional women. And because thatâs the part that sustains the appearance is undeniably important of been unapologetically articulating that in this book and again more critical today than ever before at the same time. What will keep you in the door and sustain you and grow your career is the substantive investment. In the brand equity chapter, I talk about how that equation evolves with insight from Tyra Banks and her Harvard Business School degree. I want the young woman to get in front of that equation earlier rather than later on.
Right. And so do you think Instagram modeling can hurt or hinder a female who may like posting pretty pictures of herself on social media but may conduct herself differently in the office space?
I think it can have a risk associated with it. I say that because I look at young women who I know â some of them are already some of my college, Some of them I mentored of the organization like the Boy & Girls Club or whatever, and I know they are good young girls and they are smart and theyâre hard-working, but when I saw some of the social media posts it doesnât reflect the quality of women I know them to be.
So I donât think thereâs anything wrong with posting on social media. But I would encourage and particularly young women of color to educate themselves on the stereotypes that are prevalent around who we are regarding a hypersexuality culture. Itâs not doing away with your sexuality or conforming to respectability politics; itâs just to consider all those elements and make sure what posting is a reflection of what you would be proud of.
And was there ever a situation where you felt you had to like tone down your pretty?
Yes. When I went to interview as a public defender, I was coming from a law firm where you have to wear your nice suit and your pearls and all that. And when I went to this public defender job interview I knew there was a concern that âI wouldnât be able to relate to the client.â These were very poor people who suffered from substance abuse and mental illnesses. And so for the first round of interviews, they were like well your resume looks great, you seem good, but can you handle our rough clientele? These were their words, not mine. So for the second interview round, âdressed down.â
What did you wear?
So the first time, I had on my Theory pantsuit, a string of white pearls, a white crisp button down shirt, and some black pumps. That was for the Public Defenderâs office. A job that was paying $28,000 a year I believe they thought it was a little bit much.
Really? Isnât that standard businesswear!? Lol, so what did you wear for the second interview?
So when I went back for the second round of interviews I was a lot more toned down. I think I just had on like maybe some khaki colored pants and just a white shirt. So no jacket no jewelry and maybe even put my hair in a ponytail versus down and more glamorous. That was intentional. That was to say I could roll up my sleeves and get down and dirty with the best of them, I got the job and then when I got the job I just had one day which was dressed up and glamour girl and Barbie lawyer every day. And I still kicked butt and got my clients great results, and I was never questioned again about my competence.
Iâve long wondered what the emo side bangs of the 2010s would be, and the answer is finally here: curtain bangs.
Curtain bangs are straight-across bangsâ shaggier hot mess of a step-sister. They look good with shaggy hair cuts and the dishwater dye jobs (also known as âbalayageâ) that have been proliferating in cities throughout the world.
Suki Waterhouse has rocked curtain bangs for years. Alexa Chung has made them her staple. And now, according to the Pinterest gods, middle America has discovered them, too.
Searches for curtain bangs on your cousinâs favorite wedding inspo database are up 600% this year, according to Refinery 29. 600%! That is a lot. And where Pinterest goes, the worldâs basics follow. So after a few years of only British it-girls and Bushwick bartenders rocking the hell out of curtain bangs, weâre about to see bedgy girls get in on the fun. And then probably around mid-August of next year, curtain bangs will start popping up on the general female population.
So who are curtain bangs good for? I donât know, literally anyone who wants them! They have a major 70s vibe, so this definitely couldnât be described as a polished, refined look. Itâs more of a ârolled out of bed to get a taquito from 7-Elevenâ look.
All this is to say that if youâre an insouciant, casual, DGAF cool-girl, curtain bangs might be your perfect next look. Conversely, if your clothing and makeup style is super-duper polished, curtain bangs could be an awesome juxtaposition for you, too.
Just keep in mind that, as mentioned before, these are the emo side bangs of the 2010s. That means 10 years from now, weâre all going to look back at curtain bangs and wonder what we were thinking. But for now, they look fresh as hell.
There was once a time, not so long ago, when I got my eyebrows microbladed and promptly told everyone I know that they, too, should get their brows microbladed as soon as humanly possible, if not earlier. I even headlined my review âOMG Eyebrow Microblading Is the Best Thing Iâve Ever Doneâ!
And honestly, I donât regret having my brows microbladed. But the truth is, most people should not get this procedure done. Itâs not the harmless brow boost it seems like.
According to Sebastian Letiolais, a brow guru we visited in NYC last week, microblading should really only be done in the most extreme of circumstances.
See, when you microblade your brows, youâre creating little cuts in the skin where the semipermanent brow dye will be deposited. These cuts can actually damage your hair follicle. This could lead to major issues with hair growth â as in, you wonât have any. Yikes.
So Sebastian says that only some people should use microblading. Those people include those with thyroid problems, whose brow tails can fall out, and people who have chicken pox scars on their brows. Yes, Sebastian told me that chicken pox scars can cause permanent brow damage!
Brow technicians tend to over-prescribe microblading, Sebastian said, both because itâs the new craze and because theyâre too impatient to wait for over-groomed brows to grow back. A better solution is for you to wait for your real brows to grow in, then sculpt them from there. If you jump the gun and microblade, then thereâs a chance that after the ink fades in two years, youâll be left with no brow hair at all.
Now, this isnât really an issue for people like me â my brows are white-blonde and pretty much tail-less. Iâll probably keep microblading forever, because thereâs no chance that Iâll ever have enough brows to go without it.
But if youâre looking to microblade as a remedy for too much waxing, plucking or threading, consider yourself warned.
Sequins, boas, fur, glitter, and lots of bubble gum pink. Sounds like serious four-year-old withdrawals to me.
As a kid I loved everything pretty and pink with sparkles, heck, anything glamorous⌠and still do till this day. My adult life just canât handle it anymore â and all the Disney throwback stuff is corny af.
To succumb to that side of me, I love following designers that have girly, vintage fashions, and visuals that are nearly magical. These runway-ready clothing lines are definitely for the girly-girl who loves anything frilly, feminine, and flirty, but isnât trying to engage in any Cinderella cosplay.
Even if you donât buy the clothes, these designersâ Instagram pages are definitely ones you should be following for the eye candy.
Pronounced [disp-knee-ya], and meaning shortness of breath, Dyspnea swears by this definition even when creating their designs.
The Australian brand breaks the rules but remains in the dreamy and sparkly realms with its use of ethereal and daring fabrics, placements, and names of pieces.
I mean, why wouldnât you want the âSuga Titsâ set? The brand takes risks by unconventionally placing detail, but I ship it.

Insta blogger @____morningstar____ has one of the most inviting feeds weâve ever seen. She often posts amazing scenery and beautiful clothing, all while proudly sharing her Native American culture. Jamie Okuma is a Native American fashion designer and visual artist who is best known for her incredible beadwork and brightly colored clothing. Each of her pieces are one of a kind and hand-made, featuring unbelievably intricate patterns and vivid pigments. She even has an entire collection entitled âIndigenous Coutureâ, which pays homage to traditional Native American garments. Browse her work here.
Navajo singer and model Kahara Hodges is one of the many incredible artists that have lent their voice to the track, âStand Up/ Stand N Rock,â an anthem dedicated to the indigenous-led movement to stop the North Dakota Access Pipeline. The creation of the song and video was organized by Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, who comes from Shoshone heritage himself.
Kahara and a number of other primarily Native American singers and public figures each rallied together for this project in hopes of raising awareness for the cause as well as giving the indigenous people whoâve been fighting against the DAPL a voice. You can check out the video here.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Han Mitakuyepi! Hello, my relatives! Iâm excited, honored, and proud to announce that I am the newest Board Member for Native Hope (@projectnativehope)! This happened amid the fun and madness of planning the #PeoplesClimateMarch but finally announcing! #NativeHope is a non-profit in South Dakota that is dedicated to empowering our #NativeYouth with incredible opportunities, resources, and training, while having our cultural traditions at the root of it. Iâm beyond honored for this empowering opportunity, as my Lala Nyal, truly believed in Native Hope and our youth. Native Hope has interviewed him, and my family, telling his story from start to finish, before he passed away. This is one way that I feel I can help our future generations and follow in the footsteps of my Lala. Excited for this journey and to work with Native Hope, to make a difference in our communities. @rising_hearts is collaborating with them in our first event, my Lalaâs Memorial 5k, where the proceeds go towards school supplies for my Tribe, Kul Wicasa Oyate. Please visit and support Native Hope, at nativehope.com, on IG and their Facebook page! Lots of great work is happening for Indian Country and Iâm blessed to help. Mitakuye Oyasin! â
