How would you describe your music?
Rock n’ roll/Alternative.
Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll, how true is that?
Well, the 60s and hair metal days are over unfortunately and we have entered a new realm of the “music business” where artists have got to be somewhat of a business savvy. You can do as you please – it is rock ‘n’ roll we are talking about here. But at the end of the day you got to be looking out for yourself, because your career is in your own hands.
What song inspired you to get into music as a kid?
It wasn’t necessarily a song but an era. The 60s/70s made a huge impact on me as I was getting into playing music and writing songs. My favorite band of all time is Led Zeppelin – still as influential to me as the first time I listened to them on my boom box.
Where does your band name come from?
The Fleetwood Mac song “Sara”.
5 tips to play the guitar like a pro
Practice, practice, practice, practice and practice. Trust me, there is no other way learning a profession…believe me I’ve tried it!
What is your obsession right now?
Hot yoga, eating right for my blood type, buying nerdy useless things for my car and calling it “detailing” and watching Bob’s Burgers.
What can we expect from Dead Sara this year?
New music and a whole lot of sexy photos!
